Clearing the cache of an Android device may help fix disconnection issues. If you are having trouble connecting your device to the Yield Monitor, try toggling Bluetooth® on and off. If you are still experiencing difficulty connecting, complete the following steps to clear Bluetooth® cache.
Note, this process does not apply to iOS users.
To clear the Bluetooth® cache, system apps will need to be toggled on. To turn on system apps complete the following steps:
- Open Settings > Apps
- Tap the Sort icon (down arrow with three vertical lines) > Show system apps
- Tap OK, all system apps will appear in a list
- Tap Bluetooth > Storage > Clear data
- Tap OK to confirm
With system apps turned on, clear your cache by following these steps:
- Go to Settings on the Android device
- Select Apps
- Click the three vertical circles icon
to display your system apps
- Select Bluetooth® from the list of apps, then select Storage
- Tap Clear Cache and exit Settings
- Restart the Android device and reconnect to the Yield Monitor
