To get yield data from the Yield Monitor to the cloud and processed into precision maps, customers need to complete a data sync process. The process transfers yield data from the Yield Monitor ECU (data logger) to your mobile device (phone or tablet) via the Mobile App, then uploaded to the FarmTRX Web App for data processing.
Follow the steps to sync yield data from the Yield Monitor to the Web App:
Syncing Data from the Yield Monitor to a Mobile Device
- Connect to the Yield Monitor via Bluetooth®. To do this you will have to be within close proximity to the Yield Monitor, have the mobile device Bluetooth settings toggled "on", and the Yield Monitor must be powered on.
- Navigate to the Cloud Sync page via the mobile app main menu (three horizontal lines in the top left corner of the app)
- Log in to your Web App account by clicking the "Login" button. Use the same credentials (email and password) as entered during account registration in the Web App.
- Two tiles will appear on the Cloud Sync page:
"Data Awaiting Upload" refers to data that has been transferred from the Yield Monitor ECU to the mobile device, and is awaiting upload to the Web App via WiFi or Cellular Data.
"Data Ready to Sync" refers to data that is ready to be synced from the Yield Monitor ECU to the mobile device. - If the value shown under “Data Awaiting Upload” is greater than 0.00 there is yield
data awaiting upload to the Web App for processing. Yield data can be synced at the
convenience of the farmer using WiFi or mobile data. Click “Sync Data”.
- When data sync is complete, yield data will appear in the Web App sorted under the
appropriate field boundary. If the user holds an active subscription, several map types
will display underneath the field name showing the automatically processed harvest
date. If the Web App subscription is not active, raw yield data points and a raw yield
map will display.
If yield data does not appear in the Web App after upload, follow the steps under Troubleshooting Missing Yield Data.
