If you are new to using FarmTRX, we suggest uploading yield data to the Web Application semi-frequently during harvest - daily is a good amount to start. This allows you to quickly check the days yield maps for any notable calibration issues coming through in the corrected yield map. Here are some initial items to review in your maps:
- Are the map values accurate to what was seen in the combine?
- Are there any harvested acres missing from the field boundary?
- Does the total harvested amount seem accurate to what is in the bin?
Uploading yield data and reviewing the yield maps frequently at harvest will get you ahead of any potential calibration or field boundary errors, incorrect crop types or incorrect headers selected. Once the farmer is more comfortable with the system, they can upload data at whatever interval works for them.
